Team Polk,
Happy Belated New Year!!! We had a great year last year and were able to really push forward a lot of BG Yarbrough and COL Burns initiatives that they started. We’ve made huge strides on the installation and within our partnerships with state and local leadership through teamwork and good communication. Sustaining, maintaining and improving our installation to make it the Best Hometown in the Army and the Home of Heroes is a team effort. Thanks for making a difference and continued support. March 21 - Arts & Crafts Center Temporary Relocation
Due to floor renovation beginning March 31, the center will temporarily relocate to bldg. 921 (the Woodshop building, located behind the Arts & Crafts Center). Renovations are estimated to last 2-3 weeks. During this time, sublimation, embroidery, and custom framing services will be available. Multi-crafts and self-framing will not be available. Patrons are encouraged to pick up all orders by March 31. Those that are not picked up will be unavailable until the renovations are complete. During the renovation, the hours of operation will be Tuesday-Saturday, 1000-1800. The phone number at this location is 531-5641.
March 9 - Toledo Bend Recreation Site Boat Launch
The boat launch site at TBRS is now operational. Patrons may now launch personal boats. The boat rental is operational for the rental of bass boats, canoes and kayaks . For more information call 1-888-718-9088.
January 23 - 50M Pool Closure
Due to a severe water leak and structural damage, the 50M Pool is closed until further notice. If you have any training events or birthday parties scheduled please call 531-1988 for more information. We apologize for any inconvenience and will keep you posted as more information is made available.
